10 Movie Couples That Ended Up Being The Real Deal
Couples in movies always look so perfect, and it's hard not to wonder how those actors portray love so convincingly without actually dating. Well, turns out more that a few of these actors were real-life couples, and these 10 are especially notable.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez
The two met on the set of Gigli in 2002 and began dating right afterwards. They soon played a couple in 2004's Jersey Girl while engaged to each other, but they soon broke things off, and "Bennifer" was over.
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn
The pair reconnected on the set of Swing Shift in 1983, after having appeared in several movies together in the 60s, and have lived together ever since. A few years later, they appeared as an on-screen couple in Overboard.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith
Will and Jada met on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and several years later they were married. In the movie Ali, Will plays legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, while Jada plays his first wife, Sonji Roi.
Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon
The two met on the set of Bull Durham in 1986, where Sarandon's character begins by seducing Robbins. They began a long-term relationship soon afterwards, but that ended in 2009.
There's even more couples you probably didn't know where together below...
David Arquette and Courteney Cox
Deputy Dewey and reporter Gale Weathers spend the entire Scream franchise going through various states of their relationship, not unlike the actors that play them. Arquette and Cox married in 1999, but ultimately divorced in 2010.
Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe
The Cruel Intentions stars met just before filming that movie in 1999, and were married soon afterwards. They were married for seven years and have two children together.
Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise
One of the most infamous Hollywood romance stories, the couple met while filming Days of Thunder and were married for several years before appearing together in Far And Away. They divorced in 2001, allegedly because of Cruise's practicing of Scientology.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt
The two fell for each other while playing husband and wife in the movie Seven, but much like that relationship, theirs was short-lived. Gwyneth still has her head though.
Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor
After meeting on the set of a failed TV pilot, the two began dating and were already married when their characters became a couple in Zoolander. They recently divorced.
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams
The pair famously hated each other while working on The Notebook together, but apparently changed their tune soon after the movie's release. They dated from 2005 to 2007.
