There are very few things that are as frustrating as a Where’s Waldo puzzle. Sure, you know it’s intended for children. And yes, you know he is in there SOMEWHERE, but finding him is not always the easiest thing. Maybe it’s just me, but I still have a bit of trouble finding that stripe-wearing guy sometimes. It’s kind of like those I Spy books, where you know you should be able to find the things but you just can’t.

Finding Waldo isn’t always the easiest thing. He blends in so well, it can be absolutely frustrating. Sometimes you will spend minutes on one image until you convince yourself he isn’t in the picture at all. Well, one grad student decided that he could collect data to help people find Waldo faster and develop his own formula to always figure out where he is.
Rand Olson realized that there were certain points where Waldo was, and they seem to fall into two very specific regions of the page.
Apparently over 50% of the time Waldo can be found in one of these two 1.5 inch bands across the page.
The best way to find him is to follow this line. It’s a simple pattern you can use every time and I tried it out and it actually works!
