11 Things All 90s Kids Did When They Had A Crush That Kids Today Don't Have To Suffer Through

Ah, young love. There's nothing like it!

Remember the days when you didn't have Tinder or texting or Facebook or eHarmony or Snapchat or ANYTHING remotely helpful? It was just you, the person you liked, and a landline phone. That was it. Hope you had their phone number.

It was wildly stressful having a crush in the 90s. And frankly it still is. But these were some of the ways we dealt with it.

1.You seriously considered a full makeover.

If 90s movies taught us anything, it's that outer beauty is the only thing boys care about. Better make sure that crimped hair is juuuuuust right. For guys, frosted tips were apparently something they thought girls liked, so you could be found bleaching your hair over the weekend to try and impress the cute girl in fourth period.

2. You wrote out "Mrs. (crush's name)" to see if it sounded natural.

Okay so this one might just be a girl thing, but it was incredibly fun. If it didn't flow, he wasn't the one. And if all your notebooks weren't covered in his name, then you obviously didn't care about him that much.

3. You passed notes in class even though it terrified you.

"Do you think this class is boring? Check "no" for no, check "yes" for I'm in love with you let's get married." It's really very simple.

4. You'd drop hints like the plague.

Okay, so they were about as subtle as a gun. "OMG my friend said this TOTALLY funny thing the other day. She said you and I would make a cute couple HAHAHA isn't that totally heinous? Unless you're into it." Guys would make jokes of it, too. Nothing made your buddy more uncomfortable than joking that he loves a girl. Of course, he'd then proceed to be rude because "that means he likes you," but whatever.

5. You gave them the best Valentine.

Every box had those "special" Valentine cards that were bigger than all the rest. You'd make sure to give it to your crush, hoping they'd get the hint. They rarely did.

6. You changed your MSN name to match theirs.

If he posted about being bored, so did you. Then it was a perfect conversation starter. Either that, or you made your screen name something really emo so they knew you were deep. "In life, only two things are certain...death and ME WANTING MOAR ICE CREAM LOLZ"

7. You'd "accidentally" email them.

A funny chain email, a homework question, or a totally random thought. "Oh my God I'm so sorry Steven, I meant to send this to STEPHANIE!! Hahahahahahahaha isn't that SO random and funny!!!! anyways how are you what's new i love you!!!" Plus, with email you could show your friends what he said and then spend hours deciphering every period, comma, and question mark.

8. You would call them about mundane things.

You would strategically find his phone number and then call him. But you had to have a reason. Homework, bike troubles, "omg wrong number ahahaha anyway since I have you, what's up?"

9. You would literally stalk them.

Social media stalking wasn't an option. You had to COMMIT. If he was going to the movies on Friday, suddenly you were, too. 90s kids are the MASTERS of the accidental bump in, because it's all we had.

10. You'd pick them first for everything.

Team games in class were a popularity, as was literally anything else that required group participation. If you were lucky enough to be a team captain, you were sure to pick your crush first. And if your crush was team captain, you PRAYYYYED they'd pick you. They never did.

11. You planned your life together.

They were unaware, but your wedding was going to be beautiful. And your three kids, Julia, David, and Katie, were going to go to the same school you go to now. And your dog was going to be named Max. And you'd spend Christmas Eve with his family and Christmas Day with yours. Now if only you could strike up the courage to talk to him...

What's your most cringe-worthy crush moment?

The Evolution of the NFL

The NFL may be the single biggest sports league in the world, but it’s been a long and winding route to reach this point. Many of the major changes that have brought us here have taken place in the last thirty years, but none of these could have happened without what had gone before. For example, while there are now 32 teams split between the National Football League and the American Football Conference, this division dates back to merger that occurred in 1970 between the NFL and its rival the American Football League. And, while there have been countless

Remembering NFL in the 90's

NFL in the 90s. The Golden Years of FootballIf you can cast your mind back to what the NFL was like in the 90’s, you can perhaps remember some of the great teams and players of the time, not to mention some of the important milestones as well. Brace Yourself: The Backstreet Boys Released A New Song And Are Going On A World Tour

The Backstreet Boys have been one of the biggest bands in the country, well, the world for several decades now. After getting their start in the early 90s, they've managed to be one of the very few bands that has stuck together and continued performing. They didn't need a big reunion, because they didn't break up. Well, let's just pretend like that whole Kevin fiasco didn't happen. But anyways, they've been putting out music and performing together for 25 years now, and they have no intention of stopping. To be fair, they did warn of this two decades ago. They
