Chester Bennington's Last Appearance Has Finally Been Released

The world of rock music lost a genuine icon with the untimely death of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington in July 2017. Bennington, the band's longtime frontman and primary songwriter, had won the hearts of fans worldwide with his energetic and heartfelt performances.

Unfortunately, the band's melancholy subject matter seemed to come from a real place. Bennington had spent a lifetime dealing with mental health issues and substance abuse, and ultimately took his own life shortly after the death of his friend Chris Cornell.

Bennington's friends, family, bandmates, and fans were all devastated by the news, and his death led to an outpouring of stories, tributes, and most of all, recordings being posted online by people who loved his music.

However, the most sought-after clip took a while to surface; Bennington's appearance on James Corden's massively popular "Carpool Karaoke" video series, which was filmed shortly before his death.

It's a great clip, but also incredibly sad at the same time...

Beginning with a message of "With the blessing of Chester's family and his bandmates, we share this episode, and dedicate it to the memory of Chester," the video has Bennington in a car along with bandmates Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn, joined by The Hangover and Community actor Ken Jeong.

The jokes start flying immediately, and are quickly followed by renditions of Outkast's "Hey Ya," Linkin Park's "Numb," "In The End," and "Talking To Myself," Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under The Bridge," Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama," and Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing."

It's a great clip, and an eternal testament to what we all lost with Bennington's death.

Rest in peace Chester, we miss you.
