They Ran The Coolest Magazine On TV, But What Has The Cast Of 'Just Shoot Me' Been Up To Since?
There were a few shows that everyone watched growing up. Friends, Frasier, Seinfeld, and other popular sitcoms seemed to completely take over television screens. However, in my family, you could find us watching a less popular but equally funny show called Just Shoot Me.
The show was a lighthearted look at the magazine industry, think Devil Wears Prada, only instead of a high pressure environment where your boss is the scariest person imaginable, you work for a lovable goofball.
The show may have been flipped all over the schedule, but it was syndicated so it allowed us to watch it basically every day of the week. It's one of those shows that even if you didn't love it at first, you'd kind of be forced into loving it.
I think that the cast of the show really made us all fall in love with it, and it makes us all a little curious as to where they ended up now that the show has been off the air for 25 years. Let's see where our favorite cast members are now.
David Spade - Dennis Finch
David Spade got his start on Saturday Night Live and he has been having a pretty remarkable career ever since. He managed to land this job, but then after it was done he continued working on sitcoms. He joined the cast of 8 Simple Rules and then later starred in Rules of Engagement. He also made a lot of movies over the years, including a bunch of Adam Sandler movies and seems to be doing pretty well for himself!
George Segal - Jack Gallo
He has been acting since 1961, and hasn't really stopped since. Most recently he can be found starring as Albert "Pops" Solomon in The Goldbergs, and has already done over 100 episodes. He has been in a lot of movies over the last few years as well, including Love & Other Drugs and Elsa and Fred.
But what about the rest of the cast?
Wendie Malick - Nina Van Horn
Let's be honest, she has managed to look the same for the last 25 years. It's absolutely unfair, but I guess that's just a part of whatever magical spell she had cast on her. After moving on from Just Shoot Me, she continued acting in a lot of movie and television roles. She actually played one of the voices in The Emperor's New Groove, with her co-star David Spade, but would later go on to have a starring role in Hot in Cleveland for five years.
Laura San Giacomo - Maya Gallo
Maya was a strong feminist and had a bit of a hard time relating to the fashion industry, but she managed to find her way. Giacomo had a few roles here and there after the show ended, but it wasn't until 2006 that she was given her first big role post-Just Shoot Me. She starred in Saving Grace for three years, and then after that she would go on to guest star in a lot shows, including Malick's Hot in Cleveland.
Enrico Colantoni - Elliot DiMauro
Elliot was always an interesting character, and while the model-loving ladies man is often overplayed, something about Enrico Colantoni makes him a lot more lovable. After this show ended, Colantoni would go on to star in Veronica Mars, Flashpoint, Person of Interest and most recently Travelers.
