"What's The Deal With The "Seinfeld" Revival?"

"No more soup for you."

That's how we felt when Seinfeld aired their final episode in their ninth season in 1998.

On the air for 10 years, we had grown accustomed to the humor that Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer encountered on a daily basis. Making us laugh about relationships, politics, and the struggles of living in New York City, the four-some was a hit on TV screens across the country.

Coming to a natural end ten years later, we weren't sure if we would hear from Jerry and the gang again, but a recent interview we got the glimmer of hope that most Seinfeld fans have been waiting for.

With many sitcoms from the 90s being rebooted, including Roseanne, and even Murphy Brown, that begs the question as to whether the sitcom starting Jerry Seinfeld will make a reappearance in a familiar comedy.

In an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jerry was asked the question we have all been wondering.

"Well," DeGeneres said to her guest, "do you think, Jerry, there would be a possibility that Seinfeld would come back?"

Then the answer we have all been waiting for.

"It's possible," Seinfeld says before getting cut off by thunderous audience applause. "Oh, they like the idea."

This was not the first time the comedian was asked to bring back the series. Seinfeld and co-creator, Larry David has been asked before but the timing wasn't right because David was involved with Curb Your Enthusiasm.

"But we did have an offer—I won't say who from—to do a new, live episode of Seinfeld on TV," Seinfeld told THR. Did he consider it? "No."

He also waffled back in 2017, saying "Maybe it's nice that you continue to love it instead of us tampering with something that went pretty well."

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards have found success since the show went off the air in 10 years ago. Most notably Julia being nominated for several awards during her run on Veep over the last five years.

Jason Alexander can also be found in memorable shows such as, The Simpsons, Two and a Half Men, as well as Community.

All of the actors have also participated in other Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld works including Curb Your Enthusiasm and Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee.

NBC has recently found success with Will & Grace. Fox has also brought back The X-Files, 24 and Prison Break after all three ended.
