Take A Look Back At The 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Cast 24 Years Later

Mrs. Doubtfire is without a doubt one of the best comedy-dramas to have ever graced the big screen. From Robin Williams's seamless portrayal of two characters, a father and husband going through a divorce, and a British nanny desperate to spend time with the kids.

Not only has the movie made us laugh every single time we have watched it since its release in 1993, it has also delivered some very important messages that continue to inspire us over two decades later.

Of course, when we talk about the movie, we can't help but think about what the beloved cast have been up to over the last 24 years. Let's find out what's going on with the Hillards and the rest of the cast, shall we?

Mrs. Doubtfire/Mr. Hillard - Robin Williams

As we're all already aware, the legendary Robin Williams, who played both the goofy but doting Mr. Hillard and the charming title character, Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire, passed away in 2014.

His legacy, however, lives on through his incredible work in film, stand-up comedy, and philanthropy.

NY Daily News

The multiple award-winning iconic actor continued to take part in many critically acclaimed movies like Good Will hunting, Awakenings, and Jumanji. His final film, Boulevard, hit theaters nearly a year after his shocking death.

Miranda Hillard - Sally Field

Sally Field took on the role of the career-oriented but loving matriarch who fell out of love with her husband because he didn't take life too seriously?

Since wrapping up the movie, Field has gone on to appear in many other highly successful movies including Forrest Gump, Lincoln, and Hello, My Name is Doris. The two-time Academy Award winner also has a lot of TV credits to her name including her Emmy-winning roles in ER and Brothers & Sisters.

The 70-year-old actress took a break for a while, but she made her return in Little Evil, a Netflix horror comedy film that was released on September 1, 2017.

Lydia Hillard - Lisa Jakub

Lydia Hillard was the oldest of the Hillard children. She had a hard time accepting her parents breakup, and resented Mrs. Doubtfire, but as time went by she grew to love her.

Lisa Jakub was only 14 when she took on the role in 1993. She went on to appear in other 90s movies, including A Walk on the Moon and Independence Day before retiring from acting in 2001.

Jakub got married a few years after leaving Hollywood, and now works as a writer. She published her autobiography, You Look Like That Girl, in 2015.

The other Hillard siblings also remained in the spotlight for sometime after Mrs. Doubtfire was released and found success in many different ways.

Matthew Lawrence - Christopher "Chris" Hillard

RSVP Magazine

Middle child Chris was the first to find out that Mrs. Doubtfire wasn't who she claimed to be when he busted her taking a piss while standing up.

Matthew Lawrence, who portrayed the angst-filled teen in the movie, is part of the Lawrence brothers trio who dominated the 90s. From 1997 to 2000, starred as Jack Hunter on sitcom Boy Meets World. He also worked alongside his famous brothers, Andrew and Joey, in Brotherly Love and had parts in Melissa & Joey.

Lawrence has remained off-screen since 2015, only making occasional appearances at red carpet events. He has been in an on and off relationship with Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Cheryl Burke since 2007.

Mara Wilson - Natalie Hillard

IMDB

Daddy's sweet little girl, Natalie was portrayed by Mara Wilson. The child actress found success in her future roles in Miracle on 34th Street and Matilda.

Despite winning over people with her iconic roles, Wilson lost her passion for acting after her mother's death in 1996. She quit acting in 2000 to pursue a degree at the New York University. She now focuses on writing, and her career at Publicor. She's still entertaining the masses through her recurring role on the podcast Welcome to Nightvale and BoJack Horseman. She also made a rare TV appearance in 2016 on an episode of Broad City.

Stu Dunmyer - Pierce Brosnan

Miranda's old-turned-new lover won over the Hillard children and their mom at first, but things didn't seem to end well after he choked on his food at the restaurant.

Pierce Brosnan, who played Stu, landed the lead role in the iconic James Bond movies, then later appeared in The Thomas Crown Affair, The Matador and Mamma Mia!. The actor is still starring in TV shows and films including a Mamma Mia! sequel scheduled to be released in 2018.

Frank Hillard - Harvey Fiersten

The movie wouldn't be the same without Frank, Daniel's brother and the talented man behind Mrs. Doubtfire's impeccable disguise. I could never get tired of watching him bring Mrs. Doubtfire to life in that transformation scene.

Like Jakub, Harvey Fierstein also appeared in Independence Day, along with other films like Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde. The actor also went on to play Edna Turnblad in Hairspray Live! and made cameos in Nurse Jackie, The Good Wife and How I Met Your Mother.

NFL in the 90s. The Golden Years of FootballIf you can cast your mind back to what the NFL was like in the 90’s, you can perhaps remember some of the great teams and players of the time, not to mention some of the important milestones as well. Maybe you remember the Dallas Cowboys winning three Super Bowls in four years or when the Denver Broncos won a perfect season in 1998. Of course, there are plenty of memorable player moments too. Like when Dan Marino won the title of the best all-time passing leader. Or when Jerry Rice

Brace Yourself: The Backstreet Boys Released A New Song And Are Going On A World Tour

The Backstreet Boys have been one of the biggest bands in the country, well, the world for several decades now. After getting their start in the early 90s, they've managed to be one of the very few bands that has stuck together and continued performing. They didn't need a big reunion, because they didn't break up. Well, let's just pretend like that whole Kevin fiasco didn't happen. But anyways, they've been putting out music and performing together for 25 years now, and they have no intention of stopping. To be fair, they did warn of this two decades ago. They

Watching Die Hard is like watching a little piece of history. It truly has remained one of the greatest movies of all time no matter how much time passes. Maybe we didn't know how special it was when we first saw it, but as the decades go on, it has become clear that it's a true classic that is basically required viewing for every single person. Everyone obviously thinks of Bruce Willis when they think about Die Hard, which makes sense because he embodies John McClane in a way that makes him feel real, but he's not the only iconic

Trailer For New Nickelodeon Documentary Has Your 90s Favorites Spilling All The Secrets

Nickelodeon wasn't just a television network, it was basically a generation. Kids all over the country were bonded in this weird little family, obsessing over shows that our parents just couldn't possibly understand. They were for us. They weren't made to appeal to our parents, they were made for our enjoyment and so we felt a special connection to them unlike any other shows. Nickelodeon is still going strong today, but it's hard to remember that there was a time before the iconic kids network came around. The company may be a juggernaut now, but how did it get started?

Reptar Bars Are Back And They Are The "Superist" And The "Duperist" Versions Yet

Everyone remembers watching Rugrats as a kid, right? It was only the best kids' show ever. Those "dumb babies" as Angelica Pickles would say were a lot more clever than they let on, and in their many adventures they inspired us kids to believe that we could do anything. I mean, we don't have to question how or why a baby keeps a screwdriver in his diaper, because the logistics of where he got it or how he keeps it in there without hurting himself is beyond me, but that's not what matters here. What does matter is that these
