The Blade 2049 Runner Trailer Is As Good As It Is Beautiful

<div><p>In the 35 years since <em>Blade Runner</em> came out, it has become one of the most important and most iconic sci-fi films ever made. Many of the themes and issues raised in the original have, if anything, only become increasingly relevant as we've moved into the digital age. With that in mind, the timing of the long-awaited sequel <em>Blade Runner 2049</em> is basically perfect. We've <a href="https://www.throwbacks.com/first-footage-for-blade-runner-2049-raises-so-many-questions-2156345369/?utm_content=v2&amp;utm_expid=147655167-13.1wgoebb-R2CRbxAiWajthg.1&amp;utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.throwbacks.com%2Fsearch%2F%3Futm_content%3Dv2%26q%3Dblade%2Brunner">already talked</a> about the teaser that dropped in December, but now they've finally given us the first official trailer and hot damn does it ever deliver.</p><div><figure><a href="https://giphy.com/gifs/blade-runner-2049-xUPGctqlPdtaxvoAus" target="_blank"><amp-anim src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/05/giphy-5.gif" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-anim></a><figcaption class="op-vertical-center">Same, Ryan. He also recently signed on to direct to reboot of <em>Dune</em>, a book that has never really translated well to film, so he's definitely not afraid to tackle complex and hard-to-tell stories. Harrison Ford is also back as Rick Deckard, but this time around the focus is going to be more on Ryan Gosling's Officer K, who discovers a dark secret that could tear humanity apart.</p><div><figure><a href="https://giphy.com/gifs/blade-runner-2049-xUPGcH3loGLLA39ikU" target="_blank"><amp-anim src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/05/giphy-6.gif" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-anim></a><figcaption class="op-vertical-center"><cite><a href="https://giphy.com/gifs/blade-runner-2049-xUPGcH3loGLLA39ikU" target="_blank">Giphy</a></cite></figcaption></figure></div><p>The new trailer not only gives us a much more detailed look at the stunning and beautifully gritty neo-noir world of the <em>Blade Runner</em> universe, but also a look at the rest of the cast beyond our two titular Blade Runners. Jared Leto looks like he's going to absolutely chew the scenery as our mysterious villain and we also got very brief looks at the characters played by Robin Wright and Ana de Armas. Edward James Olmos is also back to reprise his role as Gaff. </p><p></p><div align="center" data-freestar-ad="__336x280 __789x280" id="throwbacks_articles_incontent _1"> </div><p></p><p>The whole trailer is just absolutely epic, and makes it very, very hard to wait until October 6th for the film's release. &nbsp; If watching this doesn't get you excited, you might just be a replicant.</p><div><div><div><amp-youtube height="9" width="16" layout="responsive" data-videoid="gCcx85zbxz4"></amp-youtube></div></div></div></div>

A Behind-The-Scenes Look At The New Aladdin Is Here And At Least One Of Our Wishes Was Granted

We've been waiting patiently, okay mostly patiently, since Disney announced that Aladdin was being remade. The cartoon remains one of the most iconic movies of all time, and the fact that they were going to try and bring it to life with real humans instead of the animated versions was kind of concerning. We saw the first trailer a while ago, but the only character we actually saw up close was Aladdin himself. We didn't see how the Genie looked, or Jasmine, or any of the other characters. But now, Entertainment Weekly has given us all the first look at

Tim Allen Reveals The Original Plan For 'The Santa Clause' Was Way Too Dark For Disney

We've all seen The Santa Clause at least a dozen times, right? It's a Christmas classic and ever since it was released, it has become a staple in our holiday movie schedule. There's something about the movie that manages to keep that Christmas feeling without being way too over the top or corny. I mean, sure, Tim Allen literally becomes Santa, but somehow it all feels like that's totally plausible. The sequels may not have the same realistic feeling, but the original remains iconic. However, Allen just revealed that the original plan for the movie was a lot darker than
