There Could Be a Reboot of Blossom in the Works, And We Aren't Sure How To Feel About It

These was a lot of amazing shows out there for 90s kids, whether it was Full House, Boy Meets World, or Saved by the Bell. Each of these shows had their own unique style, but none were quite as cool as Blossom.

NBC

Blossom had everything a kid could need: A style icon, a dreamy heartthrob and a bunch of celebrity cameos! It was an awesome show and really stood out in the sea of programming for kids.

These days, everything is all about the remakes. Full House became Fuller House, Boy Meets World became Girl Meets World, and now there is a slight chance that Blossom could be bringing those floppy hats back to the small screen.

NBC

Two of the stars from Blossom have spoken out about their interest in doing a sequel or reunion and their answers pretty exciting. Mayim Bialik and Joey Lawrence have both spoken about the potential reunion but first, let's look at what they have been up to since the show ended.

Joey Lawrence

He was one of the biggest heartthrobs of the nineties with that wavy hair and those flannel shirts, but what's he up to now?

Joey Lawrence grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with two younger brothers. His mom was a teacher and his dad was an insurance broker. Even though his parents weren't in the entertainment business Joey and his brothers all became actors.

NBC

Joey started doing commercials when he was a very small child, before getting guest spots on Diff'rent Strokes and Silver Spoons. He then voiced the character Oliver in Oliver & Company before playing Joey Russo on Blossom.

NBC

After the show ended all three Lawrence brothers appeared in a show called Brotherly Love, and then he started working with Melissa Joan Hart in television movies before creating the show Melissa & Joey together.

He also is passionate about music and released his first album when he was only 16. He released a single in 2011 called "Rolled" as a free download on ABC's website.

He's been married twice, currently to Chandie Yawn-Nelson who he has had two kids with.

Mayim Bialik

Mayim Bialik started her acting career in a horror movie called Pumpkinhead as a child. She later went on to appear in Beaches as the younger version of Bette Middler's character.

Buena Vista Pictures

After filming wrapped on Blossom she had a big choice to make. She had been accepted into Harvard, Yale and UCLA. She ended up going with UCLA because she wanted to stay close to her family on the west coast.

NBC

She now has a Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA after studying the hypothalmic activity in pateints with Prader-Willi syndrome.

She is probably more famous now than she was as a kid due to her role on The Big Bang Theory. She plays Dr. Amy Farah Fowler and has actually won awards for her portrayal of the character.

Joey Lawrence and Mayim Bialik may have just been pretending to be brother and sister, but they still are good friends and talk frequently.

NBC

When asked about the potential for a remake Lawrence said that "We get asked to do that all the time...Mayim is interested in doing some type of reunion with the show and so am I, if we can find the right piece and the right way in for a reboot/reunion, we’re both open to it, there’s a lot of talk around it, so we’ll see!”

NBC

He continued by saying "We’ve talked about and it’s abut the public’s excitement continuing to grow and we’re trying to find the right way in. Then we’re down!”

So with two of the main stars ready to jump back into the ripped jeans and the floppy floral hats it's only a matter of time before something like Netflix or Hulu jump in and snatch up the rights to the reunion right?

NBC

I guess we will have to wait to find out! But for now, rewatch these opening credits to get a feel for what you've been missing!
