Patrick Swayze's Former Co-Star Opens Up About Their On Set Feud

Universal Pictures

The movie To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newar may have a crazy title, but its plot was groundbreaking.

It's one of the Patrick Swayze movies that a lot of people forget about, but they shouldn't. It stars Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo and they each play a drag queen who are on their way to participate in the Miss Drag Queen of America Pageant.

The movie caught a lot of people off guard, especially because it was 1995 and the drag scene wasn't as prevalent as it is now.

Now, Ru Paul's Drag Race is one of the most popular reality shows, but in the 90s, people didn't know how much effort and artistry went into drag.

But even though To Wong Foo gave us a look into a world we didn't know, apparently it wasn't all good times on the set.

In a recent interview, Leguizamo opened up about his relationships with his former co-stars, and discussed how they got along on set. One was great, while the other nearly escalated to a fist fight.

He has mentioned before that his relationships with his two co-stars were very different.

Universal Pictures

"The most incongruous trio! The most motleyest crew ever! Wesley and I, we hit it off big time. We've been friends every since—I've done three movies with him. He was just texting me yesterday – we became friends forever, from that movie.

"And Patrick, rest in peace, was fantastic in the movie, but we didn't get along as well. Like I say in Ghetto Klown, maybe we were both in character too much, and we started P.M.S.-ing at the same time."

Universal Pictures

But he's revealed a little bit more of the details, including how one time he almost got into a fight with Swayze.

Apparently it was his desire for improvisation that led to the rift.

“I [tweak scripts] in movies, too. That causes a lot of friction. Patrick Swayze, the poor man, rest in peace, he was not ready for me. I wouldn’t have been ready for me.”

Apparently Swayze became frustrated with his ideas.

Universal Pictures

“The problem was I saw, ‘I’m gonna rock the hell out of this motherf–king role’ and so when I went in there I was improvising everything and Wesley [Snipes] was loving it…and the director. But Patrick started getting upset.”

Things finally escalated to the point where Swayze couldn't hold back his frustrations anymore.

“One day he told me to shut up and I was like, ‘Make me,' We’re about to punch each other except I’m in hot pants and pumps and he’s dressed like Audrey Hepburn…Wesley’s like, ‘Let him go. Let him go,’ but the director stopped him.”

However, even though things got tense Leguizamo was quick to brush it off with a joke.

Universal Pictures

“We were so in character we were PMSing at the same time.”

While it makes sense that not every movie set is the happiest of places, it's always interesting to hear the behind the scenes gossip. Mostly because the producers always try to hide the fact that their stars aren't getting along.

Have any of your favorite movies ever had big fights happen on set?

Apparently these kind of on-set feuds happen all the time. Everyone from Clark Gable to Betty White have had their fair share of disagreements on set.

A Behind-The-Scenes Look At The New Aladdin Is Here And At Least One Of Our Wishes Was Granted

We've been waiting patiently, okay mostly patiently, since Disney announced that Aladdin was being remade. The cartoon remains one of the most iconic movies of all time, and the fact that they were going to try and bring it to life with real humans instead of the animated versions was kind of concerning. We saw the first trailer a while ago, but the only character we actually saw up close was Aladdin himself. We didn't see how the Genie looked, or Jasmine, or any of the other characters. But now, Entertainment Weekly has given us all the first look at

Tim Allen Reveals The Original Plan For 'The Santa Clause' Was Way Too Dark For Disney

We've all seen The Santa Clause at least a dozen times, right? It's a Christmas classic and ever since it was released, it has become a staple in our holiday movie schedule. There's something about the movie that manages to keep that Christmas feeling without being way too over the top or corny. I mean, sure, Tim Allen literally becomes Santa, but somehow it all feels like that's totally plausible. The sequels may not have the same realistic feeling, but the original remains iconic. However, Allen just revealed that the original plan for the movie was a lot darker than
