Turbo-Man Dolls Are Finally Real! But They're Already Sold Out

Jingle All the Way might not be as beloved as some Christmas classics like It's a Wonderful Life, but it's earned its place as an evergreen Christmas movie with its timeless theme - struggling to buy the "big toy" of the year.

The film was released the same year as the Tickle Me Elmo craze, and got a lot of laughs out of star Arnold Schwarzenegger's quest to buy his son that year's "it" toy, a Turbo-Man action figure.

The Turbo-Man doll was, briefly, a real toy, but only 200,000 toys were ever shipped, and the fad didn't survive until next Christmas season. This meant that for years, fans of the film have been stuck, like Arnold, without a Turbo-Man doll for Christmas.

Until this year that is. A KickStarter user named RumourSkywalker from Cleveland, Ohio began taking orders for replica Turbo-Man dolls last week. His planned to scan a prop doll that was used in the 1996 movie and reproduce the toy, complete with the packaging, for $130 per toy.

Unfortunately if you were counting on this chance to FINALLY get your own Turbo-Man doll, you're out of luck again. RumourSkywalker says he's not accepting any more than the 110 orders that have already been placed - once again Turbo-Man is sold out.

But don't fret, if you order right now, you may be able to scoop one of the original 1996 Turbo-Man dolls from eBay. The going rate is between 250 and 300 dollars. They originally sold at retail for just $25, but hey - you can't put a price on owning a piece of movie history.
