10 Rap-Rock Songs We Pretend We Don't Know All The Words To

Rap rock was one of those weird musical products of the 90s that bled into the early 2000s before fizzling out almost completely. These days, we love to look back on those days and laugh at the frosted tips, JNCO baggy jeans, wallet chains, and lyrics about being a tough guy and yet somehow also being misunderstood by everybody. Let's get real though, if one of these 10 songs comes on the radio, you still know every damn word.

Cypress Hill - "Rock Superstar"

Why yes Cypress Hill, I do want to be a rock superstar. With the big house, and all the cars you can offer really.

Linkin Park - "Faint"

While the late, great Chester Bennington is what everyone remembers from this band, this song gave resident rapper Mike Shinoda a chance to really shine.

POD - "Boom"

This was everybody's workout jam when it came out. Don't even pretend like it wasn't.

Limp Bizkit - "Nookie"

Sure, they may be the stupidest band of the 90s and 00s, but it didn't stop Limp Bizkit's songs from getting burned into our brains forever.

These next few songs are ones we definitely don't know by heart. No, not at all...

Kid Rock - "Bawitdaba"

We definitely know the verses, but don't lie, you still don't know what the hell Rock is saying in the chorus.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Give It Away"

The original kings of mixing funk, rap and rock in one tight little... package. Still a classic to this day.

Rage Against The Machine - "Sleep Now In The Fire"

Easily the best band to come out of the rap-rock era, Rage Against The Machine are still immensely fun to listen to when you're mad at "the man."

Korn - "Falling Away From Me"

An awesome video combined with a bizarrely-catchy song, this is still the best thing Korn's ever released.

Papa Roach - "Last Resort"

I still can't hear a guitar go "DUNDUN" without thinking of the friggin intro to this song.

Gorillaz - "Clint Eastwood"

Gorillaz managed to be this weird mix of pop, rock, rap, and cartoons, and are still going strong today. This song remains one of their undisputed classics.

Which of these songs do you still remember like it was yesterday?

Backstreet Boys and *Nsync were obviously the two biggest groups who were constantly in a battle for the crown, but there was an entire league of boy bands that had a whole bunch of hits that a lot of us were completely obsessed with.
