There were a lot of popular books when we were younger, but very few were as popular as Sweet Valley High. There were hundreds of books written about the Wakefield twins that eventually got turned into a TV show, but now it's getting a movie!

Giphy

We don't know quite yet whether they plan on using one of the plot lines from the books or if they will create a new original story, but we do know who will be responsible for the script.

Harper Dill and Kristen Smith have been asked to create the script for the Sweet Valley High movie which is pretty exciting if you knew what they had written.

Random House

Dill currently writes for the Fox sitcom The Mick, while Smith wrote the iconic Legally Blonde and 10 Things I Hate About You. Smith is also signed on to write the script for Sister Act 3! So hopefully it's in good hands!

They have a lot of source material to draw from if they want to redo an older story. There is a lot of crazy plot lines and bizarre elements that would make for a pretty weird movie. Here are just some of the stranger plots that you can find in those classic books.

Random House

Elizabeth infiltrates the group posing as Jessica to try to find out what's going on, but Adam Marvel had already invited the real Jessica to move with them to a new town. She agrees but just as they are about to leave Elizabeth and Todd show up and stop them. Adam Marvel is arrested and everything is just fine.

Tim Allen Reveals The Original Plan For 'The Santa Clause' Was Way Too Dark For Disney

We've all seen The Santa Clause at least a dozen times, right? It's a Christmas classic and ever since it was released, it has become a staple in our holiday movie schedule. There's something about the movie that manages to keep that Christmas feeling without being way too over the top or corny. I mean, sure, Tim Allen literally becomes Santa, but somehow it all feels like that's totally plausible. The sequels may not have the same realistic feeling, but the original remains iconic. However, Allen just revealed that the original plan for the movie was a lot darker than
