Backstreet Boys Dressed Up As The Spice Girls, And It's The Most 90s Thing Ever

The Backstreet Boys are one of the last remaining boy bands from the 90s who have continued performing consistently.

A.J., Brian, Howie, Nick and Kevin have stuck together (minus a short hiatus by Kevin) through thick and thin, and you know what, we're thrilled about it.

Every time that they launch a new tour or sing in Vegas all of our 90s-obsessed selves melt and we feel like we are 12 years old again, scream-singing in our rooms.

The band has spent the last 25 years treating us all to the best of the best in pop music, and lately they've been taking that music to the seas.

Over the last few years, they've been taking their fans on cruises. That's right, you can go on a cruise with the Backstreet Boys.

They perform concerts, they have meet and greets, and they just generally hang out with their fans. It's a pretty incredible experience if you could go, but for those of us who were stuck on land and missed it, at least the internet gives us a little sneak peek into what we missed.

This year's cruise ran from May 3rd-7th, and now that they are back on land the things that happened on the cruise have been revealed and oh boy, it was a doozy.

The most important thing that happened was that the Backstreet Boys dressed up as the Spice Girls. Yes, you read that right.

The Backstreet Boys dressed up as the Spice Girls

To celebrate their 25th anniversary one of the theme nights on the ship was a 90s night, and there are very few things more 90s than the Spice Girls.

So they donned their platform heels, their wig and their best girl power poses to make sure they honored the girls properly.

They even sang Wannabe.

Brian Littrell dressed as Sporty Spice

A.J McLean dressed as Scary Spice

Kevin Richardson dressed as Posh Spice

And Howie Dorough dressed as Ginger Spice

It's a lot to take in, but you've got to admit, it's amazing.

Rumors have circulated before that the two groups would make for the best tour ever, and while even writing that sentence has me dreaming of the possibilities, currently there is nothing in the works.

But they did reveal that they all have hung out in the past and still occasionally catch up. Dorough revealed that they hung out a lot when they were all "young and single."

Alpha Press

“We were young and single, so I used to catch up with them at festival shows and go partying.

"We used to go to this place, Momo, a Moroccan food place, and downstairs they have music and a band.

"Baby Spice was reminding me today about the last time we were all in the U.K. and she was like, ‘Last time we were together, we were salsa dancing downstairs.’ There must have been some alcohol consumed because I don’t remember this too much!”

Just because it's not currently on the table, Dorough revealed that it's not like they wouldn't be up for it.

“But they’re great girls, we respect them a lot and we’d love to do something with them in the future if it all works out. t would be a fun collaboration.”

They had a few more theme nights on the cruise too.

They had a "Millennium" theme night where you could wear your best white outfits to try and match their iconic looks.

There was a "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" night where they said you could not only represent your favorite character in the movie, but also just go for any teen look you wanted.

"We've Got It Going On" night became a super hero/comic book hero costume party, with a few people dressed as cartoon characters as well.

But of course it wouldn't be complete without a 90s night. Pull out your overalls and scunchies, because these boys know that's what you want, what you really, really want. That was the night they graced us with their Spice Boys performance.

Honestly, I am a little bit sad that I missed it this year. It must be the most fun trip ever, and I would love to go, but maybe next year!

They try their best to interact with their fans even though they have their own entire floor of the cruise ship, and will regularly take pictures with their fans.

It's just nice to know that even though they are such big stars now they still have time for their fans!

Would you ever go on a Backstreet Boys Cruise? I know I'm going to start saving up now...

The Backstreet Boys have been keeping busy. Once they get back from their cruise they will get back to work on that new restaurant they are developing.

The Spice Girls seemed to have had a big impact on a lot of boy bands in the 90s. Nsync recently revealed that one of their members hooked up with a Spice Girl.

In 2008, their lead singer Darius Rucker went solo, and became successful on his own. Brace Yourself: The Backstreet Boys Released A New Song And Are Going On A World Tour

The Backstreet Boys have been one of the biggest bands in the country, well, the world for several decades now. After getting their start in the early 90s, they've managed to be one of the very few bands that has stuck together and continued performing. They didn't need a big reunion, because they didn't break up. Well, let's just pretend like that whole Kevin fiasco didn't happen. But anyways, they've been putting out music and performing together for 25 years now, and they have no intention of stopping. To be fair, they did warn of this two decades ago. They

It's been months and months of a "will they or won't they" debate, but we've finally got some concrete details about the Spice Girls reunion tour. It feels like every time they appear on a talk show or make a comment on Twitter they've been contradicting what the others have said, but now it's official, there's no going back, the Spice Girls are going on tour. Well, sort of. There is one catch, Victoria Beckham is not going to be there. We all suspected it for a while, as she herself had said that she didn't want to go on

The Tragic Story Behind Pearl Jam's "Jeremy", Now Those Involved Reveal What Happened

Pearl Jam is one of those iconic 90s bands that everyone remembers hearing. They were edgier than the popular music, instead fitting in alongside Nirvana in the grunge style of music that was becoming popular. Like Nirvana, Pearl Jam originated from Seattle. The band has remained extremely successful in the years since its inception, but one song they wrote definitely brought the band to the attention of a lot more people. In 1992, their song "Jeremy" was released as a part of their debut album. The song was their first foray into more story-driven lyrics, but a lot of people

After 15 Years Apart, BBMak Are Finally "Back Here" Again

As the 90s faded out, and the new millennium rushed forward, a lot changed. Clothes became very shiny, hair became excessively straightened, and people started to get cellphones. There was one thing that didn't change right away though, and that was that boy bands still reigned supreme. Backstreet Boys and *Nsync were obviously the two biggest groups who were constantly in a battle for the crown, but there was an entire league of boy bands that had a whole bunch of hits that a lot of us were completely obsessed with. BBMak was one of those bands. While they may

Debbie Gibson Opens Up About Being A Teen Star, And One Fan's "Dying Wish"

Debbie Gibson first came into our lives in the mid 80s with her song "Only In My Dreams." The singer/songwriter released the single in 1986, and was signed immediately. She recorded her first album in only four weeks, and managed to make her way onto the Top 40 charts. Gibson would later become the youngest artist to write, produce, and perform a Billboard number-one single, which she earned for her song "Foolish Beat." She was one of the biggest names in pop music in the 80s, and her bowler hats and rolled up jeans made her the style icon
