How 8 Of Our Favorite Child Actors Got Arrested

Some of our favorite child stars have taken much different paths than we ever expected. From drug charges to stabbings, here is how your favorite child stars got arrested:

1. Macaulay Culkin

Macaulay Culkin, better known as Kevin McCallister, was charged for drug possession in 2004. Police seized 17.3 grams of marijuana, eight Xanax pills and 16 round white pills identified by police as clonazepam, a sedative used to treat anxiety and seizures that can be addictive. Police said Culkin told them he did not have a prescription for the pills.

This isn't too big of a surprise for those of us who have followed Culkin's troubling childhood.

2. Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan, star of Parent Trap, has had her fair share of run-ins with the law. Between the years of 2007 and 2015, Lohan has been arrested with charges to do with drugs and alcohol, theft, hit-and-runs, and many more. Lohan has had numerous arrests but in the past few years, has seemed to be healthier and on a better path.

3. Amanda Bynes

Amanda Bynes is known from What I Like About You. As of 2014, Bynes seemed different from her regular sweet, wholesome self. She got arrested for a number of DUI's. We then found out that she had been diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder. After a series of inappropriate tweets and actions, Bynes went to rehab and seems to be doing better. She recently said in an interview that she wants to start acting again.

4. Shia LaBeouf

Shia LeBeouf is known from the Disney series Even Stevens. In 2017, LeBeouf was arrested for obstruction, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He has also had a number of DUIs and public intoxication charges in the past.

5. Dana Plato

Dana Plato is known for her role in Diff'rent Strokes. In 1991, she entered a video store, produced a pellet gun, and demanded the money in the cash register. The clerk called 911, saying, "I've just been robbed by the girl who played Kimberly on Diff'rent Strokes." Approximately 15 minutes after the robbery, Plato returned to the scene and was immediately arrested. After that she had a number of drug-related charges, and appeared in pornography movies. In 1999, Plato died of a drug overdose which was ruled as a suicide.

The day before her death she appeared in an interview. She spoke about her life, discussing her financial problems and past run-ins with the law. She admitted to being a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, but claimed she had been sober for more than 10 years by that point, and was not using any drugs.

6. Orlando Brown

Orlando Brown is known for his role on That's So Raven. Brown was arrested 2016 for domestic abuse as well as possession of crystal meth. Brown had pulled into a police station parking lot while arguing with his girlfriend and then allegedly struck her, while he had meth on him. Bystanders saw the incident and he was arrested on the spot.

8. Dustin Diamond

Dustin Diamond is known as Screech on Saved by the Bell. Diamond was arrested in 2015 when he stabbed someone in a Wisconsin bar. He was charged with three misdemeanors: second-degree recklessly endangering safety, carrying a concealed weapon, and disorderly conduct, use of a dangerous weapon, according to a press release from the police.
