It's No Bologna, It Ain't A Phony - The Banana Phone Is Finally Real!

Some songs from your childhood just stick out in your mind and stay with you for all of time. If you grew up in the 90s, there's a very good chance that Raffi sang a lot of those songs. Probably his most famous one "Bananaphone" has carried over the years and turned into its own little musical meme. Well, finally that meme has become a reality and you can now get your very own Banana Phone.

The Banana Phone was created by Brian Brunsing, Charlie Katrycz, and Max Brown, who launched it as an Indiegogo campaign. The device itself is pretty awesome. It's a banana-shapped device that pairs to your cellphone and acts as a little handset.

It's a simple but effective way to talk on your phone if you want to do it in the goofiest way possible!

One of the best things about their campaign is that not only are you able to accomplish a childhood dream, but you are actually helping out some fellow banana enthusiasts! The Banana Phone has teamed up with Gearing Up For Gorillas which is a conservation group that is helping the rare mountain gorillas in Virunga National Park. They provide important equipment to the rangers who are keeping them safe and now 1% of all Banana Phone sales will go directly to them to keep those precious creatures protected.

You can get your own Banana Phone for $40, or if you want to pledge more there are a bunch of impressive levels you can donate at. They are trying to raise $30,000 and are currently at 85%. So if you want to get your own Banana Phone and make Raffi proud, head over to their Indiegogo campaign and pledge your support. You'll look cool and feel good because you will be saving gorillas!

Need a little extra motivation? Listen to this song, and you'll know what you need to do.
