Now We Know When The Overboard Remake Is Happening, And We Still Don't Know If We're Ready

MGM

The movie Overboard is probably one of the greatest 80s movies out there. Sure, the plot is perhaps a little bit ridiculous, but that can be forgiven because it's super fun to watch.

MGM

The movie was made in 1987 and starred Goldie Hawn as a woman who was dealing with amnesia after falling off her yacht.

MGM

She was left behind by her husband, and then essentially kidnapped by Kurt Russell who pretended she was his wife.

MGM

He makes her help raise his children even though he has no idea whether or not she has ever even been around kids.

MGM

I mean, obviously it turns out just fine because it's a movie and of course they need to fall in love.

MGM

The fact of the matter is, they are making a reboot of it. Even though none of us asked for this, Hollywood has decided that an Overboard remake is a great idea.

We have known for a while who was starring in it, but now we know when to expect it...

The movie will actually be switching the roles this time. Instead of having the woman be the one who forgets her past and gets her life changed, it will be the man.

MGM

The stars of this new reboot are Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbriz. Faris will play a working-class single mom and then Derbrez will play a billionaire who gets amnesia.

The comedy was announced a few months ago, but they didn't have a release date until now. We can expect this comedy-remake on April 20th, 2018.

Some of the other cast members include:

Eva Longoria

ABC

Emily Maddison

John Hannah

Jesse Grant / Wire Image

Josh Segarra

And Swoosie Kurtz

Do you think you'll be heading to the theater to check this out?

Top 5 Movies Set in Las Vegas

There’s something about Las Vegas that has always made it a place of great fascination for filmmakers. One of the main reasons has to be the way it looks – quite unlike anywhere else on earth. With the flashing signs that can be picked out by orbiting spacecraft and the sheer investment that has gone into creating this amazing oasis in the heart of the Nevada Desert it’s a film set that’s already been built. The fact that it’s only a relatively short distance from Hollywood itself – an hour by plane – is also strongly in its favour

The Evolution of the NFL

The NFL may be the single biggest sports league in the world, but it’s been a long and winding route to reach this point. Many of the major changes that have brought us here have taken place in the last thirty years, but none of these could have happened without what had gone before. For example, while there are now 32 teams split between the National Football League and the American Football Conference, this division dates back to merger that occurred in 1970 between the NFL and its rival the American Football League. And, while there have been countless

Gaming in the 80's

For those that experienced the 80’s, its hard to forget the fond memories of being able to wear bright neon clothes, making mix tapes and working out with Jane Fonda. And for those born after this golden decade, it’s clear to see that the 80’s is still having an impact on future generations, with today’s teens still listening to Bon Jovi whilst fashion stores such as Asos and Topshop are bringing back 80’s fashion style. 10 Movies That Completely Terrified You As A Kid, And Probably Still Do

I know there were a lot of classic horror movies that came out when we were young, but you know what else there were? A whole bunch of movies disguised as these feel-good children's movies or cartoons that were safe for kids that ended up scarring us for life. A lot of movies out there that had these sequences in them that haunted our nightmares, crossing our minds when we were trying to go to bed. Then there were others that gave us a grim realistic view of the mortality of us all, and let me tell you, we weren't
