20 Poochie Toys And Accessories That Will Make You Flash Back To Your Childhood

Some toys manage to gain such a huge following that looking back, seems a bit excessive. For example, we all had to own a yo-yo, but why? Its just a piece of plastic on a string. Or the mayhem that surrounded Cabbage Patch Kids, they were just dolls right? Wrong. They were an icon of society.

Another one of those toys that we all became inexplicably obsessed with was Poochie. What's a Poochie? Well obviously it was only one of the very best toys in all the world! If you grew up in the 80s, then you will absolutely remember seeing the commercials all over the TV. If you were lucky, you probably had a bunch of different Poochie products all over your house.

How many of these Poochie items do you remember begging your parents for?

1. Poochie AM Radio

Because you know what kids love? AM radio.

2. Poochie Pencil Set

The size of this packaging seems very excessive for the product inside...

3. Poochie Notebooks

I mean, where else are you going to use those pencils?

4. Poochie Paper Doll

Paper dolls were easily one of the greatest things we had back in the day. It was surprisingly fun to just gently set paper on top of other paper. It sounds silly, but I swear it was fun!

5. Poochie Story Books

You can't have the toy without a story book to read while you cuddle it. That would just be unreasonable!

6. Poochie Secret Flower Note Maker

This was a little more complicated. You had a flower maker and then would press it down and hide little secret notes in it. Because handing someone a flower is much more discrete then handing them a note.

7. Poochie 'Overnighter' Case

Perfect for a sleepover if all you wanted to bring was your Poochie doll because it is only 6" big.

8. Poochie Stamper Paws

You get to make a little stamp out of your smaller version of your favorite dog, marking up all those lovely pieces of art you were making.

But those aren't the only crazy items based on Poochie you could get. Honestly, they just kept getting stranger...

9. Poochie Tissue Holder

It says right on it "When your tissues look this dandy, put them out and keep them handy." Obviously it's necessary.

10. Poochie 'Say It With Stickers'

Imagine trying to apologize to someone by giving them the 'Oops' and 'Sorry' stickers? Not sure how that would go over.

11. Poochie 'Make Your Own Buttons' Kit

Because showing your support for Poochie via buttons is obviously a priority when you're young.

12. Poochie Little Snippers

A perfect little cover to keep your safety scissors in is always handy. As the little quote from Poochie says, "I always keep my scissors in place, inside their own designer case."

13. Poochie Picture Frames

Seeing all the Poochie quotes they add on the bottom really gives it that extra special touch doesn't it? "Friends forever, you 'n me. A picture says it perfectly!"

14. Poochie Heart Box

The perfect place to store all your very important stuff, like your Poochie scissors, Poochies stickers, and your Poochie pencils.

15. Original Poochie

Poochie came in three sizes, 6", 9" and 12". There were also a bunch of figures that went along with it, but really the main takeaway was that the pink fluffy hair never stayed clean for long...

How well do you remember Poochie from your childhood? Did any of your friends or siblings have one?

The Wishbook was an important part of that and while it may not

Toys 'R' Us Is Coming Back With A New Name, But Not Everyone Is Happy About It

Last week we learned that the lenders responsible for Toys 'R' Us had canceled their bankruptcy auction, meaning that they were planning on attempting a comeback. And already the company has revealed their new plans, but not everyone is happy about it. The Toys 'R' Us branding, including the name and mascots, were retained by the lenders. While the company couldn't make it work, the investors think they've figured out a way to make more money, and it involves bringing back the iconic giraffe. Geoffrey the Giraffe has been the Toys 'R' Us mascot for a long time, but now

Toys 'R' Us May Be Back In Business With Investors Planning A Revival

Remember how devastating it was just a few months ago when Toys 'R' Us filed for bankruptcy and shut all their doors in America? It was like a piece of our childhood had died and we could do nothing but sit and watch it happen. No more biking through the aisles, no more seeing walls of Lego sets, and no more setting off all of the noisy toys at once before running away. Sure, the employees hated us all, but it was a part of growing up, and it was sad to think that the children of the future wouldn't
