She Was An Iconic '90s Child Star, But Where Is Tina Majorino Now?

Does the name Tina Majorino ring any bells? If it doesn't then perhaps the name Molly from the 1994 film Corrina, Corrina will refresh your memory.

A then-nine-year-old, Majorino played the role of Molly alongside Ray Liotta and Whoopi Goldberg. The film wasn't a box office success, but it gave Majorino the boost she needed to get noticed as a rising star and one of the most talented child stars to come out of the 90s.

She also starred in various other 90s movies including Andre (1994), When a Man Loves a Woman (1994) Waterworld (1995), and in the 1999 TV movie Alice in Wonderland. Majorino also added a few TV credits to her resume before vanishing from TV screens at the end of the decade.

As the case often is with many child stars, Majorino started to feel burnt out. She struggled with balancing fame, money and growing up under the limelight. However, instead of turning towards drugs or alcohol to help her escape, the young actress opted for a sabbatical.

Five years after leaving Hollywood behind, Majorino returned to Tinseltown in 2004 with her talent still intact, and scored some of her best roles to date.

In 2004, 19-year-old Majorino took on her breakout role in the 2004 offbeat comedy film Napolean Dynamite. She played Deb Bradshaw, an unpopular glamour shot producer who later develops a crush on Napoleon.
