25 Pages Of The 1994 JC Penny Catalog That Will Make You Feel Like You Traveled Through Time

While we were all busy flipping through the WishBook every year, they weren't the only exciting catalog we would find in our mailbox. While it may not have been our first choice, the JC Penny catalog was a close second when it came to making your Christmas lists. Honestly, our moms probably loved it more than anyone else, because where else would they find the latest fashion trends?

Whether you needed a new velvet dress, a snappy business jacket, or a brightly colored hat, JC Penny was the first place on the shopping list. As for us kids, it was fun to imagine what kind of clothes you would wear when you were grown up. Not to mention the big toy section that was tucked in the back pages.

There really was something for everyone in the JC Penny catalog! How many of these things do you recognize from the 1994 JC Penny Christmas catalog?

Remember when our moms dressed kind of like pirates?

And thought that velour turtlenecks were the epitome of style

It kind of looks like a really fancy dentist smock, but at least you can get it in a lot of different colors

Shoulder pads were an absolute must

This dress is really something else...

Matching dresses for mothers and their daughters

Hello 1994, I forgot what you were like...

Remember when sweaters would have a front and a back?

Would you have wanted to try one of these "home salon" products?

While they shopped for themselves, they always made sure to pick out a few items for us, like these velvet shirts

Or some Disney PJs

Sometimes they would get you a fancy coat that you weren't allowed to ever play in

Boys always owned multicolored rugby shirts. It was basically a uniform

Or a very fancy suit with a brightly colored vest/tie

You can probably still hear the sound of these snow suits in your head

But what we all really cared about was the toy section, which was filled with amazing treasures like K'NEX

And Lego sets

Walkie Talkies, Microphones and Lamb Chop cassette players were all so important to us

Two of the biggest franchises of the year: Barney and The Lion King

Honestly, no home was complete without one of these

The most important page of the catalog was the list of new Tiger Hand-Held games

Unless you could convince your parents to get you a Super Nintendo

For everyone who was obsessed with horses, there was no better collection than the Breyers

Magnadoodle, Spin Art and Lite Brite all on one page!

Who else really wanted one of these super awesome tents or playhouses

Did you ever look through the JC Penny catalog?

Fashion Experts Are Trying To Trick Us Into Wearing Flared Jeans Again And We Aren't Having It

Listen, I know fashion is cyclical. I know that things are going to go in and out of style, but here's the thing, not everything should. Fashion is also highly subjective. We all have our own opinions, but when the fashion magazines start telling us "this is what is in style" we all second guess our choices. Now, these experts are telling us to dust off our old flared jeans and honestly, I don't understand why. I know that flared jeans were huge in the disco-era, and I know this because when they came back in the late 90s and

Lip Smacker's New Christmas Collection Brings Back Your 90s Favorites. All Of Them.

If there was one product that you had to pick that would best represent what it was like to be a preteen in the 90s, I think a lot of us girls would agree that Lip Smackers would be the best choice. These little tubes of oftentimes glittered, scented, colorful lip-balm made us all feel like the fanciest of ladies, totally ready to grab our purses and do whatever it is that our moms did when they weren't paying attention to us. You had so many different choices too. You'd have a classic berry scented red Lip Smacker, you'd have

25 Bridesmaids Dresses That'll Actually Make You Glad The 80s Are Over

Listen, getting married in the 80s was kind of wild. Not only did you have to deal with the big hair, mullets, and mustaches, but the fashion was a whole other bag of worms. There was no way to predict how insane the dresses were going to look, but it was always safe to assume they would be pretty wild. Puffy sleeves, shiny fabric, and a lot of ruffles seemed to be the norm at the time. Let's not forget that return to the Victorian era that saw women trying to dress like an old-time princess. But, we brave the

30 Toys From The Sears Wishbook We All Wanted Under Our Christmas Tree 30 Years Ago

I think we can all agree that one of the best things to do while growing up was digging through the Sears Wishbook to try and make our Christmas lists. It was around this time every year that we started to get really serious about it, even though Christmas was still a ways off. We obviously needed a lot of time to plan out our lists for Santa Claus, and we weren't about to make the same mistake as the year before and forget to send one! The Wishbook was an important part of that and while it may not

10 Weebles Playsets From Our Childhoods We Loved To Watch Wobble

There were always toys when you were a kid that seemed to be more important than the rest. There were some that you couldn't go to bed without, there were others that you spent months begging your parents for, and then there were a few that were just staples, readily available where ever you went. No matter which friends house you were at or doctor's office waiting room you were in, there were some that just seemed to be everywhere. Weebles were one of the toys you would be mostly likely to find anywhere that toys were set up for
