It’s 2022, and society has fully embraced the #Throwback era. Now, people are constantly playing throwback games, from old Call of Duty installments to PlayStation and XBOX classics. On top of all of this, they’re also playing throwback casino games.

Casinos are a symbol of nostalgia for a lot of people – especially those that were around in the 80s and 90s. With this in mind, it’s hardly surprising that there’s such a high demand for casino games in the past. After all, it’s what the likes of James Bond and the Ocean’s 11 crew used to play.

So, what are the best 5 throwback casino games to try this weekend? Let’s find out!

1. Slots

Legend has it that slot machines have been around since the late 1800s. They were invented by a man named Charles Fey, who at the time didn’t know he was creating what would turn out to be one of the most popular casino games of all time.

Slots are appealing for a number of reasons, including:

  • Fast action
  • Exciting visuals and sound effects (for anyone who goes to bars, you’ll have heard them pinging away in the background)
  • Simplicity

If you can’t make it to a land-based casino this weekend to play some slots, don’t panic – all you need to do is use online gambling sites instead. This way, you can gain access to a variety of casino games – including slots – through using either your computer device or smartphone.

2. Poker

Next up, poker.

Everyone knows what poker is – it’s been a popular feature in Hollywood movies for nearly a century.

Although poker requires a lot of critical thinking and patience, it’s a fun throwback game to play. Plus, with the right amount of practice, it won’t take long to learn all the different hands that there are.

3. Three Card Poker

If poker is a little too complicated and boring for you, try ‘three card poker’ instead. It’s a simplified version of the classic game, with the primary difference being that you play with three cards instead of the usual five.

For any beginners out there, three card poker is a great starting point to learn the rules and basics. Then, once you’ve got the hang of three-card poker, you can progress to the classic version.

4. Roulette

Ah, roulette – you can’t beat the feeling of watching the roulette spin to see whether it will land on red or black.

For people who don’t like complex rules, roulette is the perfect social game to try at weekends. If you’re with your friends or spouse, this should be the main game that you choose to play.

Remember, if you and your friends decide to go to a fancy roulette table, make sure you look the part.

5. Blackjack

Lastly, there’s blackjack.

Blackjack is a basic card game where the aim is to draw cards that total 21 (or as close to 21 as possible). You’ll be competing against the dealer, which means you need to end on a hand that’s greater than theirs. For example, if you decide to ‘stick’ with a total of 17 and the dealer has a hand of 15, you would win the game.

Fashion Experts Are Trying To Trick Us Into Wearing Flared Jeans Again And We Aren't Having It

Listen, I know fashion is cyclical. I know that things are going to go in and out of style, but here's the thing, not everything should. Fashion is also highly subjective. We all have our own opinions, but when the fashion magazines start telling us "this is what is in style" we all second guess our choices. Now, these experts are telling us to dust off our old flared jeans and honestly, I don't understand why. I know that flared jeans were huge in the disco-era, and I know this because when they came back in the late 90s and
