Build Your Perfect 90s Friday Night By Picking Your 5 Essential Requirements

First, I would like you to imagine that you are at your childhood house at some point in the late 90s. School's out, your older sister is busy talking on the phone with her best friend, and you and your best bud are ready to get this Friday night started.

Your parents are gone out on a rare date night, so it's truly time to go completely wild. There were a few things that were an absolute requirement if you were going to have the most epic night ever. You can pick five of these things to build your perfect night, which ones do you choose? We've got 10 for you to choose between so let's get started.

1. 3D Doritos

3D Doritos or bust, am I right? If you could go back in time and grab one thing, you know it would be these. Even though they turned your fingers completely orange, you needed them in your life. Sure, you had to beg your parents to leave you five dollars so you could run to the store and grab them, but it was so worth the ten minute bike trip. The rest of your night isn't complete without them.

2. M&M Minis

Sure, the regular ones had a better chocolate ratio, but for some reason everything is more fun when you have a little tube to carry them around in. They felt new and cool, which meant they were better - at least we thought it did.

3. Blockbuster VHS Rental

This was usually the first stop of the evening. Honestly, you could get your Doritos and M&Ms at the video store, so you may as well rent a movie too! Personally, I remember a friend of mine always renting the same Ernest Goes To Camp movie every single time. No matter how much we asked them not to...

4. TGIF

Before we watched the movie we rented, we had to make sure to catch up with the shows we were watching. Full House, Family Matters, Boy Meets World, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch were all required viewing.

5. Surge

Because if you're going to have the energy to stay awake through all your favorite shows, watch your movie, AND play all the video games you need to play, you were going to need some extra sugar.

Don't worry, there are more options to choose between...

6. Smile Fries

Those McCain Smile Fries honestly taste like happiness. They were (and still are, I've eaten them very recently) just the most delicious and perfect appetizer while you waited for your pizza delivery.

7. Pizza Delivery

You've got to round up all your change from the last few weeks allowance, or if you were like me and didn't get an allowance, you'd have to try to steal the change that fell out of your dad's jeans in the dryer.

8. N64

If you were one of the chosen ones who owned an N64, then you got to spend every night playing it, but some of us only got to experience the joy that it brought when our friends brought theirs over. Goldeneye, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong's Racing, or basically any other option imaginable made for a perfect night. Remember how awesome it was when you realized you could rent games at Blockbuster? Sorry movies, there's a new king in town!

9. Tiger Beat

You needed to catch up on all that good teen gossip even though you were still years away from being a teen. Whether you were a Tiger Beat kid, a Bop! fan, or a Seventeen magazine addict, there was something for everyone.

10. Fort Building

I don't know about you, but building a fort was a part of every Friday night when the parents weren't home. You had to obviously encompass the TV so you could still play video games or watch TV, but it was just cozier to sit in a personalized nest instead of the couch.

If you could only pick five of these things to build the perfect Friday night, which 5 do you need? For me, it's N64, pizza, Smile Fries, TGIF, and Blockbuster rental.
