15 Songs We All Love From Bands We Otherwise Pretend To Hate

They say that even a broken clock is right twice a day, and so it is that sometimes bands that are pretty damn awful manage to blow us away by delivering a genuinely great hit. Case and point, we still have no idea how these 15 bands managed to pull these songs off.

Crazy Town - "Butterfly"

I hate how much I love this song. I mean, just look at the video.

Europe - "The Final Countdown"

Possibly the single cheesiest song in history, and it's the one song by this band that I'll still throw on today.

Train - "Drops of Jupiter"

Before terrible metaphors about grocery bags and drive-by shootings, Train released this song that's been stuck in our heads ever since.

The Bravery - "An Honest Mistake"

Remember when The Killers made everyone think electropop was going to be the biggest thing? The Bravery were part of that wave, and were super mediocre aside from this great jam.

Hanson - "Mmmbop"

One of the world's single biggest music regrets of the 90s, it's impossible to deny how catchy this song is.

Limp Bizkit - "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)"

Fred Durst has the most punchable face in music, but I'd be lying if I said the riff from this song didn't get me every time.

These next few songs are really amazing, even if the bands aren't...

Phil Collins - "In The Air Tonight"

Collins was really better off sticking with Genesis, but this song is a true classic.

Mötley Crüe - Kickstart My Heart

Mötley Crüe were really one of the least-talented bands in rock music, but when they landed a hit, they knocked it out of the park.

Savage Garden - "Truly, Madly, Deeply"

Undeniably catchy, this was on the mix CD everyone sent to their crush. Just a shame about the rest of their songs.

Papa Roach - "Scars"

Despite some hilariously dumb songs like "Last Resort," Papa Roach proved they could knock out a meaningful rock song when they really, really tried.

Fall Out Boy - "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs"

If I never hear "Sugar, We're Going Down" again it'll be too soon, but this song is absolutely killer.

The Black Eyed Peas - "Where Is The Love?"

Before the band that gave us "My Humps" and "Dirty Bit" cemented themselves as the singularly worst thing to happen to rap, this introspective, emotional tune blew us all way.

Spin Doctors - "Two Princes"

We mostly remember it from commercials, but it's still the band's crowning achievement.

Sugar Ray - "Fly"

A mediocre nu-metal band got a shot in the arm with this reggae and funk-inspired song, but never came back from it.

Nickelback - "Breathe"

The perpetually most-hated band on the internet didn't always write songs like they were a parody of themselves; sometimes they could put out a genuinely good rock song.

Which of these songs do you still love?

The Tragic Story Behind Pearl Jam's "Jeremy", Now Those Involved Reveal What Happened

Pearl Jam is one of those iconic 90s bands that everyone remembers hearing. They were edgier than the popular music, instead fitting in alongside Nirvana in the grunge style of music that was becoming popular. Like Nirvana, Pearl Jam originated from Seattle. The band has remained extremely successful in the years since its inception, but one song they wrote definitely brought the band to the attention of a lot more people. In 1992, their song "Jeremy" was released as a part of their debut album. The song was their first foray into more story-driven lyrics, but a lot of people

After 15 Years Apart, BBMak Are Finally "Back Here" Again

As the 90s faded out, and the new millennium rushed forward, a lot changed. Clothes became very shiny, hair became excessively straightened, and people started to get cellphones. There was one thing that didn't change right away though, and that was that boy bands still reigned supreme. Backstreet Boys and *Nsync were obviously the two biggest groups who were constantly in a battle for the crown, but there was an entire league of boy bands that had a whole bunch of hits that a lot of us were completely obsessed with. BBMak was one of those bands. While they may
