The '80s music bonanza featured neon clothes, big hair, shoulder pads, and an unforgettable sound that is still loved and listened to decades later.

During that era, we didn't have music streaming platforms like Spotify and iTunes to have our playlists saved forever. Instead, we listened to music on the radio or on our Sony Walkman, so there are probably dozens of songs we used to love but completely forgot about after we got rid of our cassette tapes.

Here are 10 songs from the '80s that you used to rock out to back in the day, but have almost completely forgot about to this day.

1. "The Perfect Kiss" by New Order

The song was released in 1985 by English band New Order, and it was regarded as one of the group's masterpieces. Most people have no clue what the song is about, but it was fun to rock to as a teenager.

2. "Maneater" by Hall & Oates

The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1982, and remained in the top spot for a month straight.

3. "If This Is It" by Huey Lewis and the News

The American rock band rocked the charts with "If This Is It" in 1984. It's such a feel-good song, and you're probably ecstatic that you stumbled upon it again.

4. "Holdin' On" by Tane Cain

This track was all about girl power in the '80s, which was a huge deal ever since Madonna became the most beloved singer of that decade. It also helps that the song has an incredibly catchy hook. You've probably hummed the song before, but forgot what the name was.

5. "Saddest Victory" by Sandy Stewart

Stevie Nicks's best friend, Sandy Stewart, just missed getting on the Billboard Hot 100 list, but her track "Saddest Victory" was a true lost gem of the '80s.

Another Australian band with a hit song in the U.S., but this one you'd probably listen to while laying on your bed and staring at the posters on your wall.

8. "Puttin' on the Ritz" by Taco

If Taco didn't inspire Daft Punk, I'd be very surprised. The song was written in the 1920s, but reached the number four spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 when Taco released it in the early '80s.

9. "Jenny (867-5309)" by Tommy Totune

This catchy 1981 pop song had everyone named Jenny wanting to change their name, but at least it made them slightly more popular. Also, you probably used to have Jenny's phone number grounded into your memory.  

10. "One of the Living" by Tina Turner

Tina Turner's 1985 hit "One of the Living" did pretty well when it first came out, but people soon forgot about it.
