11 Things All 90s Kid Absolutely Wanted To Have In Their Bedroom

<div><p>There were a lot of awesome things that became popular (or had a resurgence) in the 90s and therefore our bedrooms got decorated in the very best way possible. We all had these enormous wish lists of things we absolutely needed and every TV show would add something new to that list. </p><p>Can you remember all the things you thought would make for excellent decor? Here are 15 of the must-haves from the 90s! </p><h3><strong>1. A Big CD Player</strong></h3><p>Pretty much everyone had one like this: </p><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/sony-boombox-ghetto-blaster-vintage-90s-cd-player-radio-cassette-tape-cfd-8-0bcfe839f03b2b6ff50b624abeaa110d.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>But we all REALLY wanted one like this: </p><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/18kyo8tvjwjwojpg.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><h3><strong>2. A Lava Lamp</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/ScreenShot2014-08-29at11-07-47AM.png" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>They obviously weren't invented in the 90s, but pretty much everything that was popular in the 60s and 70s came back in the 90s with a vengeance. Everyone had one of these. If they didn't, they probably wished they did. </p><h3><strong>3. TV/VCR Combo</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/TVVCR_combo.JPG" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><h3><strong>4. A See-Through Phone</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/44198c30-4689-0132-4188-0ebc4eccb42f.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>Back when landlines were a thing, we all HAD to have one in our room. The luckiest kids got their own personal line so their parents wouldn't know what they were talking about, but the rest of us had one phone number per house and would have to beg our parents to let us put a phone in our rooms. For some reason everything that you could see the inside of was super popular. </p><h3><strong>5. Inflatable Furniture</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/61SxX07lVhL-_SL1000_.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>To prove the previous point, we also all wanted these inflatable couches and chairs because who needs to be comfortable when you can see the inside of the furniture? In reality, these were not that comfy and if you had any exposed skin you were going to get stuck to it.</p><p></p><div align="center" data-freestar-ad="__336x280 __789x280" id="throwbacks_articles_incontent _1"> </div><p></p><h3><strong>6. Bean Bag Chair</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/71ce2e19de7446bbdc1ad2f0786c1f92.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>For those who weren't into the inflatable chairs, there were always bean bag chairs! Just pray that you don't pop a leak otherwise you are in trouble. </p><h3><strong>7. A Huge Collection Of Gel Pens</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/69d8d2148d24a0e9ab2f195273d9b00e.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>Whether you needed to write a note, write your thoughts in your diary, or draw something special, you NEEDED to use a gel pen to do it. Preferably one that you could actually read, but we all thought that none were overly legible. </p><h3><strong>8. A CD Binder</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/51KzfJn1vbL.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>Back in the days before downloading, we all had to purchase physical copies of our music. If we wanted to keep them organized and portable, they would get filed into a CD binder in a very specific order. </p><h3><strong>9. Glow In The Dark Stars</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/84d8af0c-e8e8-44f3-9f05-6e5a5b6e4cdb.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>Do I even need to explain? Just in case you somehow don't know what these are I will explain. You would stick these to the ceiling and they would glow in the dark and they were wonderful. You could make patterns, constellations, words, whatever you wanted! </p><h3><strong>10. Beanie Babies Displayed With Pride</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/2387663630_f331111388.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>No matter how many you had, you would probably set them up on their own little shelf or display. Some people went all out and kept them in cases which is maybe smart because some of these things <a href="https://www.throwbacks.com/here-are-the-10-beanie-babies-that-you-need-to-dig-out-of-storage-so-you-can-retire-early/" target="_blank">are actually worth some money now</a>! </p><h3><strong>11. Fiber Optic Lamps</strong></h3><div><figure><amp-img src="https://legacy.throwbacks.com/content/images/2017/04/2dde8a9760535bb9b5230891d79fd454.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p>We were all just really obsessed with lamps that didn't actually illuminate anything I guess? These would spin in circles and were always fun to play with the fibers. </p><p><strong>Did you have any of the things on this list? Share with your fellow 90s kids to remind them of a simpler time! </strong></p></div>

This One Teen's Tweet About Burning CDs Will Honestly Ruin Your Day

All of us who would consider ourselves to be 80s and 90s kids aren't really that old, right? We are still in the prime of our lives, and a lot of us still feel like we're just getting started on our path to being a "real grown-up." Maybe it's not the greatest that a lot of us still feel young, but times have changed since our parents were in their 30s. We've learned how to chill out and take our time in our lives. There's no rush, so let's all just relax and try to stay young longer. Here's the

Ikea Is Bringing Back The Couch Of Your Nightmares, And People Have A Lot To Say About It

Remember when you were growing up and you'd go hang out in the living room for hours and hours, never leaving your spot on the couch? Well, honestly I can't pretend much has changed, other than the fact that the couch has fewer flowers on it than ever before. Most people stick to a single color now, but back in the day there was apparently nothing more desirable than a good floral pattern. Big flowers, small flowers, pinks ones, or blue, every combination was waiting for you. We've all seen a lot of bad couches in our days, but when

There's Now Only One Blockbuster Left, But It Refuses To Give Up

We've all known for a while that Blockbuster was basically a lost cause. Most Blockbuster locations closed down many years ago, leaving behind their empty buildings that look like they house all the ghosts of the 90s. However there were a few places where Blockbuster Video refused to die. There were six locations remaining in Alaska, and one in Bend, Oregon, but this weekend marks a sad moment. All of the Alaskan Blockbusters have been officially closed. Four had actually been closed earlier in the year, but this weekend the final two locations closed their doors for good. But don't

Are Your Old Pogs Actually Worth As Much As People Claim?

People like to look back at their childhood and think about all the cool stuff they had. We all collected Beanie Babies, Pokemon Cards, Polly Pockets, and more, but one of the weirdest obsessions we all had was the Pog craze. Pogs were perhaps one of the most popular toys (if you could really call them that) of the 90s. They were basically little cardboard disks that had pictures on them, and the point of them was to collect as many as you could, trade them with your friends, and maybe compete for more using your "Slammer". A lot of

20 Bedding Sets That Every 90s Kid Dreamed Of Having When They Were Kids

I know that when most 90s kids looked through the Sears Wishbook, they focused on the toys. I definitely spent my fair share of time flipping through the pages of Barbies and Lego, but there was always one section that I couldn't resist and I cannot be the only one. Every single year, I would flip through the toys first, but then move on with excitement to the bedding section. Seeing all the latest and greatest comforters and blankets always brought a smile to my face.I don't know how many Christmases I asked for a "Bed-in-a-Bag" set that would

Seeing Celebrities' Homes From The 90s Is Like Stepping Through A Time Machine

Who else has a very vivid memory of what their house looked like in the 90s? Everyone's house has specific look depending on what their parents were into at the time. In our house we had green wall-to-wall carpets, a blue couch that was almost a velvet texture and of course, a lazy boy recliner. In our basement we had a hand-me-down couch from my grandparents that looked like it had seen better days. It was basically just the scratchiest material ever but it didn't matter because it was ours. Our houses may not have looked as cool as the
